Parts Policy

Warranty
Parts supplied by TROFF Medical are used, field-tested parts, and are warranted for 60 days, from the date of shipment, unless otherwise specified. In the unlikely event of the failure of a part, the failed part may be returned for replacement or (if no replacement part is available) credit. The defective part must be returned within 15 days of written return authorization being issued. Failure to return within 15 days will result in additional billing charges. Our Return Authorization Form must accompany any part(s) being returned.

DOA Policy
We must be notified within 3 business days of the part’s shipping date to claim a DOA. The DOA part must be returned within 15 days of notification. Failure to return the part within 15 days will result in additional and appropriate billing charges.

Exchanges

If items are sold on an “Exchange” basis, the exchange part must be returned within 15 days from the date of shipment from our warehouse. Failure to return a like or repairable item within 30 days from date of shipment will result in billing of non-exchange price of an additional 25% or as quoted.

Returns

Unopened Parts: Unopened parts (purchased but not used) may be returned, with our written authorization, for credit within 30 days. All unopened returned parts are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Our Return Authorization Form must accompany any part(s) being returned.

Opened Parts: Opened parts may be returned, with our written authorization, for credit within 30 days. Opened parts will be inspected and tested before credit is issued. All opened parts are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Our Return Authorization Form must accompany any part(s) being returned.

Any parts returned without proper authorization and/or any parts returned after 30 days will not be accepted for credit.

Hero Kit Policy

Hero Kit: A group of parts covering the estimated trouble in a system, where the engineer has had trouble determining the problem part or has a time constraint forcing them to this measure. "Hero Kits" are sold under the agreement that the engineer will determine the problem part, purchase it, and return the unneeded parts for full credit. If the engineer does not find that one of the parts ordered in the "Hero Kit" is the problem and sends all of the parts back, the customer will be charged restock fees on all of the parts included. These "Hero Kits" are sent to assist the engineer in isolating the problem and getting the system back up quickly. Orders done this way are done as a favor to the customer, engineer, or facility. 

All Hero Kits are subject to these terms and conditions:

1. Customer, Engineer, or Facility placing the order must declare it as a "Hero Kit" and acknowledge the Terms and Conditions.

2. Part Restrictions
a. Price: single parts with a sale price over $6,000 are not eligible.
b. Part: X-ray tubes, detectors, & glassware are not eligible.
c. Sourced Parts: sourced parts are not eligible unless the whole "Hero Kit" is sourced through a compliant vendor.

3. Time Restrictions
a. All "Hero Kits" are considered urgent needs and will be expected to be resolved within 5 business days of the shipment being received.
b. Shipping: All "Hero Kits" must be Overnight Shipments.
c. Follow Up: TROFF Sales Staff are expected to follow up on "Hero Kits" regularly until they are resolved.

4. "Hero Kits" are not available for international customers. 

5. Payment must be issued for the full value of the order and will be credited back upon receiving the unneeded part back. This includes POs and credit cards.

6. Warranty and DOA Issues
a. All parts included in a "Hero Kit" are covered by our standard warranty, unless otherwise specified by the TROFF Sales Staff.
b. If the part needed is a DOA or fails under warranty a replacement part will be shipped if available. Failing to allow TROFF Medical the opportunity to send a replacement part, or refusing the replacement part will result in restock billing on all parts included in the "Hero Kit".
